Well, hello there…

Thanks for taking the quiz to assess if you’re on your contract A-game and/or where you might need a little #legallove.

I want to officially welcome you here.  My name is Annette and a few years ago, I was working in a fancy-shmancy {that’s a word, right?} law firm here in San Francisco.  And everything was going great….on paper. I was working at a great firm, living in the beautiful city of San Francisco in one of the most desirable neighborhoods, and making six-figures, but deep down I wasn’t happy.

And it all came to a head on February 14, 2012.

I was sitting in my office working away on a legal brief when a law firm partner knocked on my office door. She walked into my office, handed me a white envelope and walked out. I opened the letter and I immediately starting crying.

No, I wasn’t fired.

Rather, inside was a letter that said: “Congratulations, Annette. Effective immediately, we’re increasing your salary by $10,000.”

Now you’ve got to remember, we were just coming out of a tough recession where people would’ve killed to not only have a six-figure salary, but on top of it to get a $10,000 salary increase.

So why was I crying?

They weren’t tears of joy.  Rather, the tears were there because I knew I didn’t want to be working in that setting forever and no amount of money was going to make that go away.

Can you relate?

Maybe that’s why you started your business (or are dreaming of starting a business).

Maybe you want more freedom…..

Freedom to pick up your kids from school...

Freedom to work on projects that excite you….

Do you want more control?

Control over how things are done around the office…..

Control over what kinds of clients you work with….

Whatever your motivation, my goal is to equip you with the information (and inspiration) you need to start or grow your business … with confidence!

With that in mind, I’d love to send you occasional emails full of business tips, legal information, and a dash of inspiration.

In fact, tomorrow I’m going to share one of the most important reasons to have a solid legal contract  --- it’s something that no one is talking about, but it will help set you apart from the competition.

But first, you need to sign up to receive this important email I’m sending tomorrow.

P.S. To make sure that you receive tomorrow’s email from me, add my email address to your contacts list. And if you use Gmail, move my email into your Primary tab.
